Nicolas Cage To Star In ‘Butcher’s Crossing’ Adaptation

Nicolas Cage will star in Gabe Polsky’s screen adaptation of the 1960 novel, Butcher’s Crossing.
The original novel was written by John Williams, but Polsky adapted the script with Liam Satre-Meloy.
The story follows a young Harvard drop out taken under the wing of buffalo hunter, Miller (Cage). Together, they embark on a harrowing journey risking life and sanity.
Polsky will produce alongside Molly Conners and Will Clarke and Andy Mayson for Altitude Films. Altitude has also secured distribution rights for the UK and Ireland.
According to Deadline, the project will begin filming in October in the US.
Nicolas Cage will return to screens on July 16 in Michael Sarnoski‘s ‘Pig‘. In the film Cage plays a truffle hunter desperately searching for his beloved kidnapped pig.
