Ninja Thyberg To Write And Direct ‘The Witches Of Eastwick’ Remake

Ninja Thyberg has been chosen by Warner Bros to write and direct the remake of George Miller’s ‘The Witches Of Eastwick‘.
Screen Daily reports that the deal between Thyberg and Warner Bros was agreed last week. Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher have been enlisted to produce.
In the original 1987 film by George Miller, three single women in a village find they have their wishes granted, at a cost, when a mysterious man enters their lives. The BAFTA-award winning film starred Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer.
The new feature will allegedly be filmed in the U.S., though an exact shooting schedule is yet to be announced.
Ninja Thyberg is currently on the festival circuit after the debut of her film, Pleasure, following 19-year-old Linnéa as she travels to LA to become the next big porn star.
