Pete Davidson wasn’t in Saturday’s instalment of Saturday Night Live, just weeks after a questionable interview was released.

The 26-year-old comedian was interviewed on a radio show called Charlamagne Tha God, which later released on YouTube last month.

During the interview, he ridiculed the show and called out an atmosphere with castmates, saying, “I’m literally painted out to be this big dumb idiot. I personally think I should be done with that show because they make fun of me on it,”

Episode absences are common for Davidson at the moment, however, due to his scheduling for James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad — it is common knowledge that he skipped the SNL afterparty too because of his busy shooting period.

On another note, according to Pete, he holds nothing but love for Lorne Michaels, the creator of SNL, calling him a “father figure.”

Chances are, the reason for him skipping a few episodes and an afterparty is down to his filming scheduling.
