Prince Charles Paid A “Substantial Sum” To Support Harry And Meghan

A spokesperson for The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall has revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received a “substantial sum” after their move to America.
The statement came after the annual royal financial reviews for 2020/2021 were released. The record for Prince Charles‘ household – Clarence House – states that £4.5m was shared between Prince Harry, Prince William and their respective families.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry said his family had “literally cut me off financially”. He suggested that his father, Prince Charles, had stopped supporting him financially in the first quarter of 2020; however records state that funding was provided until the summer.
“The funding ceased in the summer of last year. The couple are now financially independent.” Said a spokesperson for Clarence House, reported by the BBC.
A representative for the Sussexes responded that it was, “Inaccurate to suggest that there’s a contradiction.”
“The duke’s comments during the Oprah interview were in reference to the first quarter of the fiscal reporting period in the UK, which starts annually in April.” Explained the representative. “This is the same date the ‘transitional year’ of the Sandringham agreement began and is aligned with the timeline that Clarence House referenced.”
