The estate for legendary singer, Prince (real name Prince Rogers Nelson), has settled a legal battle over the domain Prince.com.

Court documents were filed by the estate on January 11, asking the court to approve the settlement and close the case — after the estate claimed the deal made “is in the best interest of the estate and its beneficiaries,”.

The estate are saying Prince.com is currently being held by Domain Capital and the domain leads to a blank page and “is thus not being used for a bona fide commercial use,” further saying that Domain Capital “has never used the domain www.prince.com in connection with a bona fide offering or any goods or services.” — the estate even claim Domain Capital was trying to hide the previous owners’ identity.

Overall, Domain Capital have been sued by Prince’s estate in order to seek a court order to transfer the domain to them; alongside unspecified damages.

The domain still has privacy settings associated with it that say, “PrivacyDotLink Customer 2751461, PO BOX 30485, Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman, KY1-1202, KY”.
