Rafael Nadal Sends Message To 97-Year-Old Ukrainian Tennis Player

Ukrainian born Leonid Stanislavsky is known for being the oldest tennis player in the world, and this week Rafael Nadal sent him a message.
The two had previously met last October and played a game together.
Stanislavsky is currently in Ukraine, which is being invaded by Russia, and will stay there despite having family in Poland.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport via Tennis World, Nadal took the time to send a message to the 97-year-old.
The Spaniard wanted to send his “support” to Stanislavsky.
“I can’t give my opinion as a tennis player,” Nadal said. “I can give my opinion as a citizen. It escapes me anyway, I can’t understand it. I hope it ends soon.”
He adds: “This is the only thing I hope, that there are as few casualties as possible. This is devastating news.”
