Stevie Nicks Says She Saved Herself From Past Drug Addiction

Fleetwood Mac frontwoman Stevie Nicks has opened up about her past struggles with drug addiction revealing that she “saved herself”.
Speaking to Tim McGraw on his show Beyond The Influence Radio, Nicks revealed that she managed to stop taking drugs after willingly checking herself into rehab.
“I checked myself into rehab. Nobody did that for me. I did it, and that’s like with my whole life,” she said.
“I managed to save myself. I got through some pretty scary moments, but I saved me, nobody else saved me. I survived me. I survived my cocaine. I survived by myself,” she added.
Nicks previously told Rolling Stone magazine that during the 1970s she was a prolific user of illegal drugs.
“All of us were drug addicts, but there was a point where I was the worst drug addict,” Nicks said.
Earlier this month, Nicks cancelled all of her live performances for 2021 over fears that they could lead to a significant number of new coronavirus cases.
