Stray Kids Top The Billboard 200 Chart With ‘Oddinary’

K-pop boyband Stray Kids have topped the Billboard 200 chart with their latest album Oddinary.
Earlier today, Billboard revealed that Stray Kids’ latest mini-album Oddinary has debuted at number one on its 200 albums chart.
This marks the first time the South Korean group have entered the Billboard 200 chart.
The new release also made it to number one on the Top Album Sales chart with 103,000 copies sold, making it the largest sales week of any album in 2022.
Stray Kids’ are now the third K-pop boyband to top the Billboard 200 after BTS, who achieved five number ones between 2018 and 2020 and SM entertainment supergroup SuperM in 2019.
Shortly after the announcement, Stray Kids joined Billboard’s Jeff Benjamin and Jason Lipshutz on Twitter spaces to celebrate the news.
“We heard the news a few moments ago and are like, ‘Is this real? Is this actually happening?’ We were really surprised too,” said Stray Kids’ leader Bang Chan.
“I don’t know if we deserve it, but it’s a really big gift that Stays (the name of Stray Kids’ official fandom) gave us. It makes us want to try harder. It’s a really good start for 2022, so a really big thank you to Stays,” he added.
