US Open Will Be An All Unseeded Final

This being the first time since 1999 that a major final will be an all teenager final with Emma Raducanu taking on Leylah Fernandez in the US Open final.

Raducanu reached the final after beating Maria Sakkari in the semifinal winning both sets and securing her place in her first Grand Slam final. Speaking about her journey to the final she said has just been “taking care of each day,” with her saying “I can’t believe it.”

Fernandez made the final after beating number two ranked tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, as she had to come back from losing the first set in the semifinal. This also being the first time that she has ever reached the final of major tournament.

After the game she said “being young there is an element of you do play completely free.” This being an agreement to her opponents assessment on the  young players.
