Valkyrae Talks About Being Exposed To “Crazy People” Online

Rachel Hofstetter, better known as Valkyrae, has described being exposed to “crazy people” on the internet as a result of being a successful streamer and YouTuber.

Valkyrae has over 3.44 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, making her one of the biggest streamers on the platform.

In a recent stream she revealed some of the “horrifying” things she is subjected to online.

“It’s really scary that there people out there who, you know…”, Valkyrae said after describing some of the sexually graphic content she had been exposed to, pretending to feature her and her friends. “People have to know. This is like, one huge downside to being on the internet is that you’re exposed to like, the crazy people.”

She went on; “Like I know a lot of my friends have stalkers. It’s just, it’s unfortunate how common it is. There’s no internet police, you know.”

She urged people to be aware of the risks before streaming and stressed that it was a problem faced by everyone but that women were particularly at risk.
