Vanessa Hudgens Returns To High School Musical With ‘Breaking Free’

Vanessa Hudgens relived her early Disney days by drunkenly singing ‘Breaking Free’.

The High School Musical star dusted off her vocals to break out in song for a karaoke version of the famous Breaking Free soundtrack that still plays in your head all these years later.

Hudgens was out with friends in Los Angeles over the weekend when she embraced her inner Gabriella Montez and gave a powerful performance; “ooo yeah”.

Writing on Instagram, the 30-year-old explained, “Um. Here’s a really bad, aggressive, and totally sober version of breaking free. Yep. That happened lol it hurts my eats but also makes me laugh lol… the ‘ooo yeah.’ Dear lord lol,”

In July of this year, Vanessa spoke to Wonderland about the difficulties of breaking out of the Disney image, saying, “There were a lot of projects coming in that were very similar, with the same sweet, girl-next-door characters which people knew I could do. But we said no. We needed to move away from that.”
