Social media influencer and actor, Cameron Dallas, was arrested over the weekend on felony second-degree assault charges.
Cameron was arrested and charged — but promptly released from Pitkin County Jail on a $5,000 (est. £3,924) bond — and he’s spoken about the incident.
Uploading the official mugshot on social media (dedicated influencer), Cameron wrote, “Unfortunately sometimes in life you find yourself in a situation where you have to protect yourself and the people you care about, have a safe and happy new year, 2019 is going to be an amazing one.”.
Police were called to Hyatt Residences Grand Aspen on Saturday morning and in a statement from Aspen Police, they said, “On further investigation, officers arrested Cameron Dallas” — after a man was found bleeding from his face.
Furthering on their comment, “due to the felony charge in this case, we will not comment further on the case status,”.
Here’s a fun-fact, second-degree assault is punishable by up to 12 years in prison and $500,000 (est. £392,465)in fines. Of course, no criminal history can help lower that sentence if found guilty.
