Eddie Murphy Returning As ‘Saturday Night Live’ Host

Eddie Murphy will be returning to Saturday Night Live for the first time in 35 years.
The comedian has been confirmed as the next in line for providing comedy entertainment for the sketch show.
He is slated for the 45th season, along with Taylor Swift, Woody Harrelson and Billie Eilish — with Eddie hosting the December 21, 2019 season finale.
In 1984, Eddie left the popular show to pursue a successful film career; and steered away from appearing as a host or guest on Saturday Night Live.
During an episode of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld, the Coming to America star announced that he would be jumping back on stage to provide comedy entertainment — something he’s managed to avoid all these years since appearing on the big screen.
