Ex-Bucs Coach Names Coordinator Who Deserves Way More Credit

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians admits he believes he got too much credit for the Buccaneers‘ offense. 

Arians – who announced his retirement from coaching last week – also said Tom Brady got ‘way too much’ credit.

He thinks its offensive coordination Byron Leftwich who should be lauded with the plaudits.

In an interview with Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, Arians said: “One of the reasons I hope he gets all the credit he deserves this year is to get a coaching gig.

“You know, he had about four or five teams real interested last year. I would anticipate him to be a head coach real fast.”

Arians adds: “I really thought he was going to be the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars this year. Got so, so close. It’s on the horizon for him. He’s the star.”
