Jamie Lynn Spears has snapped back at those criticising her and the movement suggesting Britney Spears is trapped in a dangerous coercive situation.

The 29-year-old Zoey 101 actress typically ignores critics on social media but it would seem enough is enough when it comes to anyone verbally attacking her family.

Replying to multiple comments on Instagram, including one that questioned, “How about your sister’s OBVIOUS mental illness? Why don’t you speak on that?” to which she snapped back, “You have no right to assume anything about my sister, and I have NO right to speak about HER health and personal matters. She is a strong, badass, unstoppable woman, and that’s the only thing that is OBVIOUS.”

Another commenter quipped, “You guys (the family) need to speak out and clarify all these assumptions. I love you, but around this sensitive situation, some clarification is needed for both sides. People need to understand, not assume,” leading Spears to reply, “I would never speak out just to clarify things to the public when the person it pertains to does not want it to happen. I’d rather take all the hate, then speak about someone else’s personal matter, that they want to be kept private,”

She went on to send positive responses to those showing genuine concern, filtering out potential trolls, with one response reading, “Your love and support is very much appreciated from me and my family.” – the #FreeBritney movement is a social media-driven campaign to prevent danger from happening to Britney herself as many believe she is held against her will and needs help escaping the grips of hidden-away coercive persons that are allegedly manipulating her and all her finances.

Lynn Spears, the mother of both sisters, recently filed to become an additional financial controller of fund Britney set up in 2007.
