Lawyers Reach An Agreement On Deshaun Watson’s Civil Cases

The lawyers working on the civil cases against Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson have agreed to not schedule any trials during the 2022 NFL season.
Watson is facing twenty-two active civil lawsuits, many of which involve alleged sexual assault misconduct.
As reported by Cleveland.com, there are no plans for them to go to trial between August 1 2022 and March 1 2023.
That gives Watson an uninterrupted first season with the Browns, who faced significant backlash for the signing.
But there are hopes that they can take at least one of the cases to court, before a judge and a jury, prior to the start of the season.
The NFL is continuing to conduct its own investigation into the allegations.
As of yet, however, the league is yet to decide on any punishment for violating their personal conduct policy.
