‘Saturday Night Live’ Alum Sasheer Zamata Wants To Be Cast In Season 3 Of ‘You’ on Netflix

Saturday Night Live alum Sasheer Zamata is putting herself forward to be cast as Joe Goldberg’s next You victim. 

The 33-year-old comedian was on a panel with the Spree cast at the Sundance Film Festival when she told the audience she has just finished watching You on Netflix.

Penn Badgley plays Joe Goldberg in the series, recently playing the character again for a second season — and it seems now that a third instalment has been confirmed by Netflix, Zamata has put herself forward to work alongside Badgley.

She told moderator for the panel Kevin Smith, “I want to be in Season 3, I want to be the next murder victim.”

Zamata also spoke about her time on SNL before leaving to pursue her own comedic and acting career, saying, “I auditioned 4 times I think? … I felt like I left it all out there and I know I did my best. It was truly a boot camp in all things entertainment. I’m grateful for all the lessons I learned.”

Netflix, if you’re reading this, Sasheer is a willing murder victim.
