Taylor Swift Announces New Album Titled ‘Lover’

After her ME! single released in April, it was only time before Taylor Swift announced her upcoming album.
She made the announcement on social media on Thursday, saying it will be titled Lover. The artwork looks spectacular, but so far we only have two titles, which are suspected to be the only singles released until the album drops on August 23, 2019: ME! and You Need to Calm Down.
The single, You Need to Calm Down has Taylor singing the lyrics, “You just need to take several seats and then try to restore the peace/And control your urges to scream about all the people you hate/‘Cause shade never made anybody less gay.” — on the first day of Pride Month, she penned a letter to Tennessee’s Republican Senator Lamar Alexander in support of the Equality Act.
Her music video for Taylor‘s second single is slated to arrive June 17, 2019. She explained the meaning behind her new single, saying, “I’ve observed a lot of different people in our society who put so much energy and effort into negativity and it made me feel like, ‘you need to just calm down.’”
