The Afterparty Returns For A Thrilling Second Season On Apple TV+ With An All-Star Cast
It’s official – the hit murder mystery comedy series, The Afterparty, is set to return for a highly-anticipated second season on Apple TV+.
The show, which stars Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, and Zoë Chao, will see the addition of some big-name guest stars, including Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Poppy Liu, Anna Konkle, Jack Whitehall, Vivian Wu, John Cho, and Ken Jeong.
The second season, created by Chris Miller, will continue to explore the intriguing concept of “different character’s accounts of one fateful evening, all told through the lens of popular film genres and unique visuals to match the storyteller’s perspective.”
This time around, the plot will focus on a ruined wedding after the groom is found murdered and every guest becomes a suspect. The audience will follow detective Danner (Haddish) as she returns to help Aniq (Richardson) and Chao (Zoë) solve the crime by questioning family members, star-crossed lovers, and business partners, and hearing each suspect’s retelling of the events of the fateful weekend.
The second season of The Afterparty will debut on Friday, April 28th, with the first two episodes premiering on that date. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly every Friday, until the season finale on June 23rd.
