Actor Alec Baldwin reportedly wanted to complete the filming of Rust following the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins

According to reports from The New York Times, Baldwin made attempts to encourage the rest of the cast and crew to finish the film to honour the memory of Hutchins.

He also was reportedly planning to support Hutchins’ family through profits from the film.

Last year, on October 21, Baldwin discharged a live round in a prop gun during a scene rehearsal killing Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

The tragedy resulted in filming and production of Rust being postponed indefinitely.

Last month, the family of Hutchins filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Baldwin and other members of the production team. You can read more about this here.
