Amanda Bynes’ Attorney Responds To Conservatorship Extension Reports

Amanda Bynes‘ lawyer has responded to the reports that her conservatorship has been extended until 2023.
Bynes’ mother was granted conservatorship after multiple DUI accusations, mental health issues, and after Amanda set fire to a stranger’s driveway.
The actress’s conservatorship was reportedly extended until January 2023.
Bynes‘ lawyer David Esquibias has told PEOPLE that the reported extension is incorrect.
“Her conservatorship is not extended through March 2023. It is open day to day,” he said.
“A status report regarding her health and welfare was recently filed and approved by the court. By law, the next status report is due in two years. Her conservatorship will terminate when it is no longer convenient for Amanda.”
Following Amanda‘s public outbursts on social media, alongside a string of other controversies, Esquibias previously told PEOPLE that “Amanda is doing great.”
He shared that she is “very entrepreneurial.”
“She is investigating fragrances. She is now considering perfume in addition to a clothing line. But, don’t get too excited. She is still a student at FIDM earning her degree.”
