Chris Brown Arrested On Suspicion Of Rape And Drug Offences
Chris Brown and two members of his team are being detained by French police and are currently in custody following claims by a woman that she was raped by the singer at a hotel in Paris.
He is now being processed and the allegations are of aggravated rape and narcotics offences.
The clock is now ticking as investigators have 48 hours to decide to file preliminary charges or release Chris. If he is charged and goes to court, he could be required to surrender his passport to French authorities and would remain in France pending trial which can take upwards of a year.
On top of that, he could be required to visit a police station fortnightly to prove he’s still in France.
