Joaquin Phoenix Won’t Force His Son To Be Vegan

Joaquin Phoenix says he won’t force his son River to be vegan. Instead he will support the lifestyle choices he makes.

Phoenix has revealed that when it comes to passing down his vegan lifestyle to son River, he’ll let his son make his own informed decision.

“Certainly I would hope that (he is vegan), but I’m not going to impose my belief on my child. I don’t think that’s right,” the Joker star said in an interview with The Times.

“I’m going to educate him about the reality. I’m not going to indoctrinate him with the idea that McDonald’s have a Happy Meal because there’s nothing f****** happy about that meal.”

“I’m not going to perpetuate the lie, but I’m also not going to force him to be vegan,” adds Phoenix.

“I’ll support him. That’s my plan.”
