Judge Grants Permanent Ban Over Bob Saget’s Autopsy Report

A judge has placed a permanent ban on the publication of Bob Saget’s autopsy results.
The comedian was discovered dead on January 9 after suffering a head injury in Flordia.
The death was ruled accidental by a medical examiner, who claimed Saget’s injury was likely from a fall. A toxicology report determined that the 65-year-old had not consumed any illicit drugs or toxins prior to his death.
Following the death, Saget’s family obtained a temporary injunction to prevent the public release of the autopsy report, which included “graphic” photos and videos. The family had cited fears that the publication of such material would cause them “irreparable harm in the form of extreme mental pain, anguish and emotional distress”.
Now, Fox News reports that Florida judge Vincent Chiu has agreed to make the order prohibiting the release of the autopsy permanent. The decision was made during a court hearing on Monday (March 14) after requests from Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, and his three daughters.
“The entire Saget family is grateful that the judge granted their request for an injunction to preserve Bob’s dignity, as well as their privacy rights, especially after suffering this unexpected and tragic loss,” said the Saget family’s lawyer, Brian Bieber, in a statement.
“We are pleased this issue has been resolved, and the healing process can continue to move forward. All of the prayers and well wishes continuously extended to the family are beyond appreciated.”
