Matthew McConaughey Calls Out Hollywood ‘Hypocrisy’ Over 2020 Election Results

Matthew McConaughey has taken a stance against ‘hypocrisy’ in the 2020 election results by calling out Hollywood elites.
The 51-year-old True Detective actor has taken a stance against those he finds condescending and patronising in the entertainment business.
During an episode of Russell Brand‘s Under the Skin podcast, McConaughey made a guest appearance and discussed a variety of topics including the 2020 presidential election against Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
Brand asked whether he noticed a “condemnation and criticism of ordinary working people” from the entertainment industry in when it boils down to political affairs. Russell continued to explain his thoughts, “[There is] a kind of offhandedness, like, ‘Oh, they’re dumb, they’re voting for Brexit, they’re voting for Trump.’ I don’t like it, and I don’t like to hear it,”
In response, Matthew gave his view, saying, “There are a lot [of people] on that illiberal left that absolutely condescend, patronise, and are arrogant towards the other 50%. I’m sure you saw it in our industry when Trump was voted in four years ago, they were in denial that was real. Some of them were in absolute denial.
[Now] it looks like Biden‘s our guy. Now you’ve got the right that’s in denial, cause their side has fake news. And I understand, they’ve been fed fake news. No one knows that the hell to believe, right? So they’re putting down their last bastion of defence.”
