Tania Mallet, James Bond Actress, Dead Aged 77

British actress and model, known for her role as Tilly Masterson in GOLDFINGER, Tania Mallet, has died aged 77. 

In a tweet from the official James Bond Twitter account, they wrote, “We are very sorry to hear that Tania Mallet who played Tilly Masterson in GOLDFINGER has passed away. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.”

Tania was also Helen Mirren’s cousin, who once described her as “impossibly beautiful and kind,”

She rose to fame in the 1950s and 1960s as a model and after being turned down for the part of Tatiana Romanova in 1957s From Russia With Love she went on to land her famous role in Goldfinger.

Circumstances surrounding her death are unclear.
