Charlie Hanson, producer of Netflix series ‘After Life’, has been removed from the show over allegations of sexual misconduct.

According to The Times, 11 women have come forwards with allegations of misconduct.

“Whilst the allegations are unrelated to his time on the show, we immediately removed him from the production and referred the matter to the police.” Netflix said in a statement shared by Sky.

“I am shocked and appalled to learn of the historical allegations made by a number of women against Charlie Hanson.” Ricky Gervais, the creator of After Life, added in his own statement. “I am confident the matter is being handled thoroughly.”

BAFTA has also suspended Hanson’s membership.

BAFTA also suspended Noel Clarke earlier in the year after historical allegations of misconduct were made against him.

Hanson denies the allegations.
