Danai Gurira To Return As Okoye For Black Panther Sequel And Series

Danai Gurira is reportedly returning to the role of Okoye for the Black Panther sequel, as well as an undisclosed Disney+ series.

The The Hollywood Reporter shared the news in an unlikely article featuring powerful Hollywood lawyers.

In a section covering Gurira’s lawyer – Jamie Mandelbaum – the report said he had: “Brokered a deal for actress Danai Gurira to not only reprise her role as Okoye in the upcoming Black Panther sequel but also in an origin spinoff series for Disney+.”

Writer and director, Ryan Coogler, has signed a five year deal working on a Black Panther series for Disney. There is speculation that it is this spinoff which will feature the character of Okoye.
